Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using d2b ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. About the Platform

d2b is a community-driven platform where players share, discuss, and vote on ideas related to Dota 2. The Platform offers both free and subscription-based tiers to support its development and community features.

The Platform includes an AI assistant ("BrainBot") that offers chat-based guidance, helps generate build ideas, and provides summaries of community ideas. AI features are assistive tools, not professional advice, and are subject to the AI terms in Section 5.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You can register with an email address and password (email verification is required) or with Google sign-in where available. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Platform. We do not verify age at registration, so parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors' use of the Platform.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the ideas and content you submit to d2b. By posting content, you grant d2b a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, distribute, and promote your content in connection with operating the Platform, including through our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure and search indexing of public pages. Private ideas are excluded from public display and indexing.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to post your content, including any prompts you submit to AI features, and that your content does not infringe the rights of others. Dota 2 heroes, items, and related game assets referenced in ideas remain the property of Valve Corporation.

You agree not to post content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringes on any intellectual property rights.
  • Contains spam, malware, or phishing attempts.
  • Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation.
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice.

5. AI Features & BrainBot

Chat conversations, voice inputs, and idea-generation requests are transmitted to third-party AI providers for inference. Voice inputs are transcribed automatically before being processed as chat messages.

  • AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Dota 2 strategy advice should be verified in-game; do not rely on it as a guarantee of results.
  • Ideas generated or assisted by BrainBot and marked as AI-generated may be published to your profile as your own. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before publishing.
  • You agree not to abuse AI features, including attempts to extract system instructions, bypass safety limits or usage quotas, or submit bulk automated requests.
  • Free accounts are subject to chat usage limits. Unlimited chat, full build generation, and AI summaries require a paid plan as described in Section 7.

6. Community Guidelines

d2b is built on respectful community participation. You agree to:

  • Engage constructively and respectfully with other members.
  • Not manipulate voting systems, create duplicate accounts, or game Platform mechanics.
  • Not use automated tools or bots to interact with the Platform without authorization.
  • Report violations of these guidelines through our feedback page to help maintain a healthy community.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these guidelines. There is no formal appeal process, but you may contact us to ask for a review.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

The Platform offers subscription-based plans that unlock additional features. Current tiers are:

  • Free — browse heroes and community ideas. Chat is subject to usage limits.
  • Standard Access — save ideas to your profile, unlimited chat with BrainBot, comment and upvote, and create and publish your own ideas (up to 20 ideas).
  • Full Access — everything in Standard, plus unlimited ideas, private ideas, full build generation with BrainBot, and AI summaries. Includes a 7-day free trial where offered.

By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on the plan selected. Prices shown as beta prices may change at launch.
  • If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We are not obligated to provide refunds except where required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their account.
  • Failed payments may result in loss of paid features until billing is resolved. Taxes and currency handling are determined by our payment processor at checkout.

8. Intellectual Property

The d2b platform, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is the property of d2b and its contributors. Dota 2 and related trademarks are the property of Valve Corporation. d2b is a community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform, including all AI-generated content, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, d2b and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in conduct harmful to the community. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us through our feedback page (when logged in) or by email at support@d2brain.space. We handle deletion requests within 30 days, except where we must retain data for legal or billing purposes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
